Some of my customers have generously shared their reviews and comments:
Karry Heun: "My gorgeous SandraSpinners wheel (aka....my love) is flying in the sunlight. This (treadle) wheel is beyond awesome. It is so balanced and smooth. This is not the only wheel I've spun on, but it's the first wheel I've owned. Easily and far and away the SandraSpinner is the most pleasant and efficient experience I've had to date. And the price can't be beat. I'm an amateur spinner, but I know fiber! I have fiber animals and I've been a felter for 15 years. The spinning bug bit over Christmas when I purchased a wheel for my sister- in-law and practiced on it. The ENOMOUS bobbin is my favorite part because who wants to stop and change? Sandra herself is so kind, and her customer service surpasses any I've encountered. She even helped me on the eve of her surgery (I'd forgotten to add the spacers) and checked back in after her operation to make sure I'd gotten it done correctly. What a FIND!!! If you are on the fence about getting this wheel, get the heck off and pull the trigger. You won't be disappointed!"
Mary Ann H., purchased battery powered espinner 12-2018: "I love the new wheel!! It's really cool! I'm prepping some mohair and spinning. Working on filling my first bobbin. Thanks!"
J. Outlaw, on my new battery powered espinner: "Battery powered! Verry impressive design and build Sandra. I know some of my friends in San Angelo, texas (nicknamed "Wool and Mohair Capitol of the World") will be wanting one!"
Laurie Golding, artisan of many crafts: "I have purchased two spinning wheels from Sandra. One is a treadle wheel with two flyers and the other is an electric spinner with huge bobbins. I love the wheels and love Sandra. Fortunately she lives near enough to me that she delivered the wheels in person and we have become good friends. I've had a couple of suggestions and she's most willing to try new things on her wheels. Both wheels are well-made, and well thought out and spin beautifully. I like them both...the treadle because it's good exercise and relaxing, the electric because it is great for production spinning and for when my legs wear out or need to rest. Her prices are reasonable, and workmanship is excellent. I highly recommend either or both wheels to anyone looking for a modestly priced and well-made wheel."
Anthony Locane, fiber artist, wheel purchase 2016: “I just received my new Sandra E-Spinner and was up and spinning in no time. I have two other Irish tension wheels, so I had no trouble acclimating to Sandra's electric spinner. The fit and finish is superb and it runs smoothly and is quite easy to spin the bulky yarns I love spinning. My new E-Spinner will allow me to add a new dimension to my art. It's easy to adjust the tension and the motor runs as slow or as fast as desired. It never overheated, even after spinning non-stop for one hour. The pegs are perfect for textured yarn as it never catches the yarn like it can on the standard hooks of most spinners. And the bobbins are just huge and fills all the way without experiencing difficulty as the bobbin fills as it can on other wheels. The motor simply drives the bobbin and effortlessly spins. Sandra provides excellent customer service. Her videos are helpful and it's obvious she takes great pride in her wheels. I've no doubt that my Sandra E-Spinner will last a lifetime and will become a staple in my studio."
Anthony Locane, 2019 update: "It's been quite a long time. You made me one of your wonderful bulky e-spinners......the natural polyurethane model. I love it. In fact, I sold my Ashford Bulky Country Spinner 2 since I prefer spinning on your e-spinner. I'm about to also sell my Louet S51 since I'm not using that either."
Randi R.: "Spins like a dream! I definitely would've thrown my other wheel out the door from pure frustration. This espinner can easily handle anything you throw at it for sure."
Also: "I was so incredibly frustrated with my other wheel fighting it to wind on my lock spun that I would manually wind it on the bobbin. Spoke with the manufacturer and they said others were having the same issue. So I went on my quest to find a wheel that was born to make art yarn. This is it! Couldn't be happier!" Also: "I am so glad I bought my new e-spinner! Over 80 yards of lockspun on one bobbin and plenty room for more. It pulled those locks on like a dream, my other wheel.....not so much."
On her treadle wheel: "A wonderful wheel, excellent for spinning art yarn and mohair which is what I do on it but also great for even lace weight! Thank you so much Sandra, for making such an excellent product. There was no question, this is a great wheel and I felt no hesitation in including it in my spinning wheel inventory!"" Another comment: "An excellent wheel, the right tool for large lovely lock yarns along with many other styles. Well built by a very knowledgeable builder. You cannot go wrong! Even if you have other wheels, this one is a must!"
Laura Spinner: "This (espinner) spun like a dream."
On her electric spinner: "It is strong enough to take up large, heavy yarn with ease. For those who lock spin or do large rug yarns, it works great yet you can still spin fine yarns on it."
Diane C., a top breeder and exhibitor of Angora Goats: "This is a SandraSpinners treadle wheel that a friend bought......I tried it out and was very impressed with how easy and smooth and balanced it is! I totally loved it and going to pegs instead of hooks is brilliant for those that love to make art yarns, tailspun, lockspun, etc."
Donna S. "I've seen them at Cody Roche fiber fun. They are so nice, saving to buy one."
Karry Heun: "I'm telling you Sandra, you have crafted a wheel that is going to have people beating a path to your door and begging you to make more!!"
Michael Bennett: "I trusted her integrity and ethics when I chose her to build an espinner for my heavy duty spinning needs. I can now make gigantuous yarn. Nothing like her spinner on the market for sure! And I have her treadle model too and highly recommend it!"
Cody Roche, breeder of beautiful colored mohair fleeces: "LOVE the (treadle) wheel....this has made many skeins of art yarn to fine ply for me....taught me to spin....excellent wheel!"
Blue Barn Fiber: "I hope to someday get one of SandraSpinners amazing electric wheels. I have a feeling it will be one of my favorites to spin on!"
Patricia Hoffert: A-MAZE-ING!!! What a wonderful (e-spinner) spinning wheel. So much fun. I can spin anything on here. Sandra has been wonderful to deal with. Whatever I wanted to see, Sandra made videos of so that I could decide before I made my purchase. Sandra jumped through hoops before I decided to make my purchase. I am so very happy with my new SandraSpinner wheel. It is just fabulous!!!
Rebecca Chase: I love my new electric spinning wheel. It is beautifully crafted and sturdy. I had some trouble making the switch from treadle to electric and Sandra helped me through it. I am finding that I actually have more control over the art yarn I make with this wheel. Highly recommended.
LuLu Cowell: (See her wheel she photographed below her review)
“IT'S HERE!! OMG, you guys this is HUGE!!! Look at the BOBBIN...Oh my heart right now!!! Then she sent me these groovy drop spindles as a gift, AND this beaded orifice hook...O and this is so getting glitterized!!! This is a SandraSpinners E-Spinner. She created this masterpiece herself to be able to spin an INSANELY thick gorgeous art yarn, which holds an amazing amount of yarn as well. It's also versatile in that you can also spin an INSANE amount of lace weight on it as well, which she demonstrates on her videos, AND she even sends you a personalized video!!! By personal I mean made for you specifically and says, “Hello LuLu...etc. Etc.”. You can't imagine how excited I was at that point. The video is a complete walk through of wheel set up and care. Also, the price for the quality, I had to jump on it!!! $800 for everything below and that includes shipping as well, so happy!!!”
